Cluster OpenDistribution Guidelines
The National Institute of Biological Resources (NIBR) secures and provides information on biological resources such as seeds, cultures, and extracts of wild organisms. These biological resources are available for distribution for research and educational purposes.
Available Quantities and Conditions for Distribution
- Distribution is provided free of charge to members who have received membership approval, and the available quantities vary by resources type as shown below. However, if a user wishes to exceed these quantities, a project implementation plan must be submitted and approved by the Director of the NIBR.
- Distributed biological resources may not be redistributed to third parties without the approval of the Director of the NIBR.
Up to 50 items per application can be requested.
※ Genetic resource: DNA not exceeding 50 ng per item, or tissue sufficient for a single extraction
Extracts may be requested up to 50 items per application (1 item = 10–20 mg), and dried samples up to 5 items per application (1 item = within 1 g).
Up to 50 strains per application can be requested.
Up to 50 items per application can be requested, with each item containing up to 100 seeds (primary seeds) or 1,000 seeds (secondary seeds).
